There's a particular kind of light you only get right at the end of the day — when the sun's dropped low enough to set the whole sky on fire, but there's still enough of it left to see by.
These two were the last out, boards under their arms, walking up the dune as the light did its thing behind them. I shot this from way back on a zoom lens, which pulls everything in tight and flattens the distance — it's what gives the shot that quiet, intimate feeling even though I was nowhere near them.
Another one in the bag. Time to head home.

Printing
Each photograph is printed to order on professional Luster 260gsm photographic paper. Its soft, pearl-like sheen gives rich colour and depth without the harsh glare of a high-gloss finish.
Framing
Each print is custom framed to order and handmade in Australia, arriving ready to hang. The frame is a slim 20mm x 30mm profile, with a clean, gallery-style look that keeps the attention on the photograph. Choose from four finishes:
- Australian Oak: natural, raw oak timber with visible grain
- Black: a smooth satin black
- Walnut: a rich, warm dark timber
- White: a classic, crisp white
Glazing
Frames are glazed with UV acrylic. It is as clear as glass but lighter and much safer to ship, and it helps protect the print from fading.
Matt border
Each print is set within a 50mm archival matt border that is acid- and lignin-free, giving it room to breathe and a timeless gallery finish. Behind the print is a 5mm acid-free, pH-neutral foam backing board that keeps it flat and protected for years to come.
Size
The 50mm matt border is added around the print size, so the image is shown in full.
Approximate overall sizes (including matt and frame):
- A3 print: 42 x 54cm
- A2 print: 54 x 72cm
- A1 print: 72 x 97cm
Shipping
Every print is made to order in Melbourne and shipped Australia-wide with tracked, fully insured delivery. Framed prints are dispatched within 8 business days and unframed prints within 3–5 business days. Delivery then takes 1–8 business days depending on your location.
Shipping is charged per print: $11 for unframed prints, $16 for framed A3 and A2, and $24 for framed A1.
If your print arrives damaged, contact me within [7] days with a photo and I'll arrange a replacement.
