I was drawn to the quiet simplicity of the scene. A lone surfer waited patiently for the morning's first wave while a solitary seabird glided overhead, each seeming to have the coastline entirely to themselves. Framed by the coastal scrub, the image invites you to pause and appreciate the calm that exists just before the day begins.
It's one of those photographs that reminds me the most extraordinary moments are often the quietest. A new day, an endless horizon, and a fleeting moment of perfect stillness.
