Some skies don't need any help. Two surfers, boards tucked under their arms, having a chat before they call it a night. Who knows what they're actually talking about, but I like to think they're planning the next wave — where to paddle out, when the swell's meant to pick up, all of it.
I love how small they are against all that beautiul colour. But it's not really about them, it's about the whole scene they're standing in and the feeling that they're so lucky to live here and have this ritual.
Shot on a zoom lens from a fair distance back, which is what gives it that compressed, almost cinematic feel.
